British Museum


How appropriate that our trip should end at the greatest museum on earth. The British Museum has been free to the public since 1753. With over 7 million objects spanning all cultures, this museum tells the whole human story. To view the best collections of ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt, this is the place to come!

See the pictures below of the Rossetta Stone (this photo is taken with a copy of the stone, but the real stone is there and behind glass but our photos weren't as good), head of a horse of Selene (Elgin Marbles from the Parthenon), and Egyptian mummies.

I should point out that it was pouring rain on our way to the museum and we got lost and completely soaked.
